Country Reports from Sweden, Latvia, Estonia and Finland are published

Country reports about the skills that micro-sized green entrepreneurs need to develop their businesses are now prepared and published.

In Sweden the green business sector includes a variety of enterprises that are basing their businesses on natural resources. They create green and sustainable offerings for the Swedish consumer and restaurant market. The needed skills needed for the green entrepreneur are 1) quality and sustainability, 2) financial, legal and organizational management, 3) marketing, value creation and green branding and 4) production, supply chains, relationships and green networks.

In Latvia entrepreneurs are happy with their business skills and they are active salespersons but need more skills for example about product development, marketing, sales promotion, branding, direct sales, sales in internet and management skills. Product categories of the entrepreneurs involve special mushrooms, herbal tea, eco cosmetics, sopas, cleaning and washing liquids, juices, syrups, jams, honey, goat cheese, wax candles and lanterns. Practical hands-on training in preferred.

In Estonia entrepreneurs prefer practical training, too, that is based on best practices, learning by doing and mentoring. The needed skills and topics of courses could be for example sustainability in using natural resources, trend in customer behaviour and marketing, product development and specific natural material related topics and diverse marketing activities, channels and practical skills.
