Identifying the relevant skillset of green entrepreneurs has started

One of the first main activities in the projects is to identify the skills green entrepreneurs need to be able to develop their businesses. This will be done separately in each country: Finland, Sweden, Estonia and Latvia. After this, the results from each country will be studied together and a joint understanding of the relevant skillset in the Central Baltic Area will be aligned.

The first results from Finland show that the micro size green entrepreneurs need to know better the needs of their customers and the markets. Natural resources need to be used in a more innovative way to create value for the customers. Skills in communication, branding and using digital marketing channels seems to be important, at least in Finland, as well as purchasing and supply chain management and networking skills.
